This ride was supported by a total of 10 Norton owners who all bar one took part on a Norton steed. A total of 4 from Plymouth, 3 from Bodmin, 1 from Mevagissey and 2 from St Mawes. At the bottom of this you will find photos from St Mawes Castle, St Michael’s Mount, Lands End and St Ive.
The trip was great fun and quite eventful, thanks to Ian for the route planning. The journey included lost sheep, lazy starting, a great hotel, bony curries, saucy dog groomers and loud bands and that was just day one!
Day 2; Everybody re-grouped in Penzance at Ian’s favourite bus shelter (circa 1965 Ask Ian for details) and headed for the Minack Theatre and on to Lands End just to compare the wooden brakes and no engine breaking of the Rotary to the far better equipped Dominators and Commandos. After an Ice cream at St Ives there was an attempt at the wall of death simulator in the Saltash tunnel on our return. Full stories this weekend at our regular pint and pasty gathering.
Thanks to all those that made the effort to take part throughout the two days and made the weekend something to remember.
